Position Description:

 

This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's products &  meet our sales revenue targets and maintaining customer relationship (HoReCa) in a specified geographical area and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel. This position is also responsible for the overall P&L of the region.

 

In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and sales skills, with proven sales expertise especially in B2B sales (processed tomato category would be a plus). We expect the ideal candidate to be an excellent communicator, customer centric and goal driven, with good problem-solving skills.



 

Job Responsibilities:

Ø   Business development managers work with a company’s biggest or most important customers to   build long-term, strategic partnerships.

Ø   This role requires a range of skills from closing sales and nurturing relationships to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership. manager ready to take on bigger clients.

Ø  Big customers represent such a significant portion in business, it makes sense that BDM should invest in their long-term satisfaction and success with the company. That’s where Business Development Manager comes in.

Ø  A Business development manager’s main role is to retain top customers and nurture those key relationships over time. Ideally, they become a strategic partner and advisor to the client, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.

Ø  BDM can drive more value than traditional sales for a few reasons:

Ø  Existing customers are more likely to buy again and spend more than new customers.

Ø  Retaining customers protects your revenue margins and helps you remain competitive.

Ø  BDM increases your understanding of target customers better so your sales team can prospect and sell more effectively.

Ø  BDM builds trusted client relationships, leading to greater satisfaction. Happy customers share those experiences and recommend you to other potential customers.

Ø  Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analysing sales options.

Ø  Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.

Ø  Proactive planner with an analytical inclination towards conceiving innovation ideas to promote products, identify prospects and generate revenue for the overall growth of the organisation.

 




Requirements

 

Job Experience:

 

›  This position requires min 08~10 yrs. of field sales experience specially in B2B, along with in-depth working experience in Sales / Supply Chain activities.  

›  Prior exposure to the processed tomato industry (e.g. tomato puree, paste, ketchups, RTC sauces etc.) is must.

›  Experience dealing with not just the 5 /4 Star and Fine Dine chains, but also the stand-alone restaurants would be a plus.

›  Candidate should be handling a monthly sales target of at least INR 30 Lakhs.




›  Active listening to elicit Customers’ demand/needs.

›  Team Performance Management & Training Matrix.

›  Strong verbal and written skills in English with logical thoughts.



›  Exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation, and strong initiative, with ability to be a team player. 

›  Concise and timely communications both internally and externally.

›  Strong presentation skills.   PPT/Word/Excel skills



›  MBA in Sales & Marketing or an equivalent education is desirable.
Advance training in Sales Techniques, Data Analysis, BTL / Trade Marketing and Supply Chain is critical to the role.
