Job Overview:
At Tennr, as a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will focus on building and maintaining robust integrations to seamlessly connect the Tennr platform with external systems. This backend-oriented role demands strong expertise in API development, as well as hands-on coding knowledge. You will leverage a full-stack Node.js and TypeScript-based backend and PostgreSQL as the database. Working closely with clients, development teams, and product managers, you will design and implement scalable solutions that ensure efficient data flow, high performance, and system reliability.
Working Hours: 2 - 10pm IST
Work Location: Gurgaon Hybrid (M, Tu, Thu In person + W, F WFH)

Responsibilities and Duties:
● API Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful and Private APIs to enable seamless integrations with external systems.
● Backend Engineering: Develop robust backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript to power integration services.
● Frontend Collaboration: Work with frontend developers to ensure API compatibility with
React/Next.js applications.
● Database Management: Design, query, and optimize PostgreSQL databases to support
integration needs .
● System Architecture: Contribute to the architecture of integration solutions for scalability,
security, and reliability.
● Testing and Debugging: Conduct rigorous testing of APIs and backend solutions to identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
● Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
● Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and Private APIs.
● Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js for integration alignment.
● Strong coding and debugging skills, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable code.
● Prior experience in backend development, API engineering, or system integration is a plus.
● Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
● Experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
